Around 300 students from St Ignatius College Luqa Primary, and their parents, have gathered at the National Park at Ta’ Qali – Oak Tree Circle, to celebrate Environmental Day.
The school administration organised a day full of interesting activities for all the students. Some of the activities included a visit to the Petting Farm while some other students planted a Tree in the Grow a tree Campaign. Each and every class did an activity in connection with Dinja Waħda , a programme organised by Bird Life. The Luqa Nursery Football Club also organised various sports activities.
The aim of this day was to make students and parents more conscious about the environment and animals. WasteServ, GreenMt, HSBC Sun & Drop Fun Activity and the Animal Welfare Department were all part of this successful day.
Children from the EkoSkola Club made sure that the area was left clean after the activities.
