It is our pleasure to announce that our school, St. Ignatius College Luqa Primary, has collected 1.815kgs of batteries per capita throughout the 2012 Battery Buster Campaign. Thus being the school winner that collected the most batteries per capita.
In this regard, the school won € 2,500 cash prize for school equipment purposes.
The Award Ceremony took place today, Sunday 24th February at the opening of the Sant’Antnin Family Park in Marsaskala.
The Head of School, Assistant Heads, the Eco-school link person and pupils’ representatives from the Students’ council and Eco-school committee attended the ceremony.
The battery collecting campaign does not end here, infact we encourage you to start collecting used batteries once again and instead of throwing them away, bring them to school. Batteries may be packed in batches of 5. On each batch write down the child’s name and surname, home address and telephone number.
